FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
Dear Parents/ Caregivers
The term is halfway over – how time flies!
It will be very exciting next week as Mrs Strohmayer has organised her annual Book Fair and Book Parade. The books are a bargain starting from $1.00. The Book Parade is always fun with everyone coming dressed up – even the teachers!!! Parents are welcome – dress up if you want, dress up your toddlers, too,
Monday is the Zone Athletics Carnival – Mrs Carroll is taking a group of competitors. Best behaviour is expected ALWAYS and good luck!
Sad news – there has been a complaint about two of our students fighting after school. That is unacceptable behaviour and the incident has been resolved.
There have also been reports of students not crossing Fairfield Road the correct way (waiting for the lights) and trying to outrun cars. This is clearly dangerous behaviour. Teachers will discuss this with their class and parents should discuss this further with their children.

Next Tuesday, 20th August, at 9.15am we will hold our Book Parade where students can come dressed as a book character in costume or by using a mask, or they can draw a large poster as a book cover for a favourite book. YENNORA KIDS AS AUTHORS
My favourite day in the holidays was when I went to the cinema. I went with my two sisters and my dad. We watched “Monsters University”. It was at Parramatta. First we bought popcorn, ice cream and lemonade. After we waited for five minutes until it started. Then we went inside. There was an enormous screen for everyone to see. I enjoyed the movie and then we went home in our car.
The P&C is looking for some help wrapping Father’s Day presents on Tuesday 20th August 2013. Please come and help –even if it is for just ½ hour.
Father’s Day Stall
Don’t forget to buy a present for Dad on Thursday 29th August 2013.
