Call to Order:The meeting was called to order by Maureen Higgins at 6:37. Jaime made a motion to approve the minutes and Kelli Seconded.

Principal’s Report: Melissa Deloreto was not able to make meeting, Diane Swan gave report. Mrs. Swan-Amanda Kowe new March 4 teaching and library media-lives in Flanders area. Trish Donnely still will be here. Author Jerry Polatta will be here on Friday March 1-there will be readers coming to classes.

March 8 Experience Argentina assembly. Today, Coast Guard Quartet assembly.

No discussion about taking away vacations all added onto the end. March 28 is a full day for students not a PD day. Teachers are collecting items for baskets-looking for volunteers for classrooms-20 High-school volunteers to supplement.

President Report: Maureen reported that we are still waiting on tax exempt status.

Carnival-no bouncy house this year-replace with balloon lady and photo-booth

Cakewalk, Hubba Bubba Basketball and photo-booth in gym.

Vice-President Report:Julie-nothing to report-just wanting to tie up loose ends for carnival.

Treasurer Report-Lori Kiely depositing checks, Box-tops totaling $1,217, After School Activities-most profitable $2,075 taken, $4300 in total.

Garde-paid half-another $900 to pay out plus bus

Expenses that are carnival related-see Laura-if you need a cash box let Laura know in the days before. Carnival makes about $7000. Lots of work but makes money.

Maia-Help needed-phone calls-has updated list of who has been called. Volunteers to make phone calls?? Need help recovering cans and putting stickers on Monday-Mai will come in to wrap –Julie suggested getting some people to help. If you get a gift cert, put it in the bottom PTA box.

Meal ticket for high-school volunteers-Liz Banever offered to make the tickets.

RandeeSiegal contacted BJ’s and they will donate gift card. Bu will only give the donation on the first of the month of the event. Will be used to buy hotdogs and supplies. Need new soup crackers.Soupcontainers-Flanders Fish MarketNeed a box of latex gloves, Kelli offered up a box. Helium tank needed for balloons for backdrop photo-booth. Candy for 4th grade. Maureen proposed using 4th grade $ for to purchase candy sale. Do we want coffee? Popcorn? Cotton Candy-Albaneese family donating again. Feathers and hair tinsel, needs a cash box. Kelling doing tickets-talk to Mr. Birch to help bundle them. How many pizzas for helpers? 10 –Building usage form-Maureen will pick up nad fill out bill will come with the approval of the usage form. Rotary all set-ID’s.Advertising, signs out front, Facebook, Friday note. Tara will get cooler of ice. Maia bringing play station. Parents should still be there with highschool volunteers for safety reasons. Need sign for tickets…
