PRESIDENT REPORT
The membership directory is currently at the printer. We are waiting on a revised draft. which we expect tomorrow. Directory will be published shortly.
Plans are under way for LTC which will take place in New Orleans this year on May 15-17.
PRESIDENT ELECT REPORT
Education
The ICR session will be held on April 8, 2011 in Batavia.
A HANYS Value Based Purchasing session is being planned for late April.
It was discussed that a Workers Compensation session with David Austin will be held in the near future.
Plans are underway for the Spring Institute on March 31, 2011 at the Millennium. To date HMS, Trace, Relay Health and Summit Healthcare have committed to the vendor fair.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Certification, Jeff Jacobs/Bruce Liebel
· An email was sent to all members to solicit interest in the new exam. Ten members responded that they were interested in taking the exam.
· A spring or fall study group will be evaluated.
· National was contacted regarding the possibility of a “bulk” license. No response has been received yet.
· Committee is also going to start looking at tracking current certified members to ensure compliance and retention with certification.
Membership, Mary Mahaney
· Two new members have joined – Rick Braun and Noreen Jones
· Angela Printup won the free membership raffle at the Chargemaster session.
· Discussed having membership information available at future education sessions.
Sponsorship, Peggy McDonough/Larry Nowak
· Reviewed list of current sponsorship prospects. $10,500 pledged to date.

The next issue will be published in April. .
Treasurer’s Report, Rachel Davis
· The January Financial Statements were reviewed. Year to date Revenue is $28,718. Year to date expenses are $22,390 for a year to date gain of $6,328.
Chargemaster
· The annual chargemaster session was held on January 25th and 26th. 56 (day one) and 59 (day two) participants attended. Relay Health sponsored a hot breakfast buffet. This was a good networking opportunity.
· The issue of a chapter credit card was discussed. Difficulties occur if the session chair does not have access to a personal credit card. Paul Sweet offered in the future that the WNYHA corporate credit card could be used if need be.
Social Committee, Mary Ann Miccichi/Bruce Liebel
· The annual Golf Tournament is scheduled for August 11, 2011 at Glen Oaks. An upcoming Sabres event is being planned for February 23rd. Planning is underway for the 50th Anniversary celebration. A euchre tournament and a family bowling event are also planned.
PFS Committee, Sue Brown
· A meeting was held last week. 12 attended. Current issues, especially NGS were discussed.
· A workers compensation session with David Austin is planned. Looking for a large, inexpensive venue.
· Day Eguisquiza has an Observation and 2 other CD’s available that the committee would like to purchase. It was discussed that the chapter could get education credit if a formal agenda is established.
· HANYS is offering a free ICD10 session which can be viewed at WNYHCA. Paul Sweet to forward the information.
Patient Access, Danette Szafranski/Sue Brown
· A meeting will be held at 9 am today.
Reimbursement Committee, Paul Sweet/Russ Previte
· Wage Index audit is complete.
· The 2008 DSH audit will be due March 31, 2011. A HANYS/DOH webinar was held January 25th, another will be held March 7th.
· Weekly Friday morning cost report meetings will start in early May.
Davis Chapter Management
· All current requirements are up to date.
The next meeting will be held on March 22th at 7:30 am at the WNYHCA.
