MINUTES

APPROVAL OF October 5, 2010 MINUTES: The minutes were approved
1.VACATED SPACES
Tony Ichsan shared a listing of vacant facilities on the Santa Rosa campus with a proposed priority to remove the Lark Temporary facility.
2.BAILEY HALL REMODEL UPDATE:
This minor project is being completed by District staff in Facilities and I.T. Tony identified that the initial move of Accounting, Business Services and Academic Affairs over the next month and winter break.
3.MAHONEY LIBRARY PROPOSED OUTDOOR COVER
Tony has been working with Jane Saldana-Talley on a possible donor opportunity . Based on the donor request, Tony reviewed two proposed conceptual designs with a preference towards the option that architecturally integrates with the west entry canopy.
4.PROPOSED RENAMING OF PETALUMA “EAST HALL” TO “STUDENTCENTER”
Tony discussed the change of names for this facility, and, shared the current justification for the proposed name change, which was approved.
5.SHONE FARM CHICKEN COOP
The design and location for a 20’ x 28’ proposed chicken coop was discussed. The project requires further review and Tony to follow up with a formal proposal from Agricultural and Natural Resources as it relates to poultry science and the use of the coop.
6.SHONE FARM 8 MILLION GALLON RECLAIMED RESERVOIR
In his update, Tony identified that the Regional Water Quality Control Staff has agreed to a public review period beginning mid-November. Currently the project is scheduled for the January, 2011 Water Board meeting.
7.CULINARY ARTSCENTER
Tony shared that the project is on schedule, with this next month’s focus on completing the deck pour, closing the roof and begin framing.
8.SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE – Transformer, Tauzer Roof, Fire Alarm Panel:
Even though there is a scheduled shut down for November 23rd – 24th on the Santa Rosa campus, Facilities is continuing to work with concerns from certain departments and to work with the contractor. Paul Bielen shared that the Tauzer Roof project is complete with the exception of one punch list item. The Fire Alarm Replacement project is in design with a proposed bid in January 2011.
9.COGEN PARTNERSHIP UPDATE:
An update was provided on the agreement for replacement and maintenance of the Cogen plant. The proposed design is currently under the District consultant engineer’s analysis.
