[Press Release| Seoul, 27September, 2012]Cardif in Korea, the subsidiary of BNP Paribas Cardif, the insurance arm of BNP Paribas, changes its name from Cardif Life Insurance to BNP Paribas Cardif Life Insurance, effective 1st October 2012.

BNP Paribas Cardif LifeInsurance, a joint venture between BNP Paribas Cardif and Shinhan Bank, has decided to changeits company name to sustain more concrete brand image aspart of the BNP Paribas Group.

Indeed, the BNP Paribas Cardif brand name combines the solidity, power and attractiveness expressed by the BNP Paribas Group, plus the recognized expertise associated with Cardif. The BNP Paribas Cardif brand name capitalizes on complementary components that are synonymous with value, and representative of the company.

Commenting the change of the company name, Jean-Christophe Darbes, Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas Cardif Life Insurance said: “BNP Paribas Cardif Life Insurance,which will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year, is now standing in the turning point for next 10 years.The name change marks a new phase in the existence of the insurance company.
