Objective:

TSW create adigital art work in the style of Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night with a separate artist's description. This project can be saved to the camera roll, or emailed.

  • Students create a piece of art work in the style of Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night.
  • Each design must have a separate artist's description with a title for the piece and a paragraph explain the emotion that is being expressed.
  • All designs will be landscapes or seascapes and must be original.

How to useDrawing Box

  1. Tap on the app icon.

  1. Tap on the type of media you want to use. Tap the pencil for pastels, chalks, pens or pencils. Tap of the paint tube/brush if you want to paint. The paint tubes will help you change colors. These are your accepted media for this project.
  1. Use your "strokes" to create textures. There must be visible textures in your work.
  1. Your subject matter should be a nature scene; that is a scene of a large outdoor space without people. Your focus is the scenery. It could be a picture of the ocean (seascape) or land (landscape/cityscape).
  1. Add your title to your piece. Save your artwork to the camera roll or email it to Mrs. Rosamond.

7. Write a brief description of your artwork including the title, your name and the feeling(s) you intend your artwork to express to your audience.
