Dear Sirs,
Sealed bids are invited from reputed Transporter for transportation of sensitive cargo under armed escort. Service provider having their own license with good office set up and experience in handling sensitive and high value cargo only need to apply in the prescribed format given below.

2.0 Terms & Conditions
a) The bidder shall have minimum 3 yearexperience in transportation of goods preferably sensitive and valuable cargo with Govt. Departments/ PSU /other reputed companies
b) The bidders shall have Office in Mumbai equipped with telephone, fax and e-mail facilities.
c) The bidder company shall be registered under Carriers Act & “ON CARRIERS RISK” consignment note shall be issued. In case of shortage, loss or damage to the cargo while in custody of transporter, it will be the responsibility of the transporter to file the necessary FIR, lodgment of initial claim and issue unconditional & unqualified short certificate Failure to provide damage certificate will result in withholding of transporter bill and will be liable for consequential losses if any.

d) The bidder should be registered with us and eligible to quote for tenders.
e) No detention charges are payable.
f) Rates quoted should be all inclusive subject to service tax as applicable and no escalation permitted
g) The transporter will be informed 2 days in advance for placement of vehicle
h) Validity of the rate: 30 Days from opening of the tender. Validity can be extended on mutual agreement for another period or otherwise as agreed upon
i) The transporter should check the cargo for any damage at the time of acceptance & deliver the same is sound / as it is condition to Mumbai.
3.0 Payment Terms:
30 days after submission of bill duly supported by delivery challan confirming receipt of cargo in good condition
The transporters should mention whether the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Act, 2006 is applicable to them and if they are registered under the same, a copy of the registration certificate to be enclosed along with your quotation.
4.0 Non Placement of Vehicle
If the transporter fails to place the vehicle on request, then the company has the option to hire vehicle from outside. Any variation in charges on the higher side would be deducted from the outstanding bills of the transporter.
5.0 Transporter to provide all inclusive lump-sum quote for each shipment (lot) in prescribed format below.

6.0 Due Date:
The sealed cover should be clearly super scribed as “Tender for transportation of cargo From AFS, BKT, Lucknow due on 19-09-2016” and addressed to Chief Branch Manager, Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd., Ascot Centre, 101, DP Road, Sahar, Mumbai 400 099. The due date for submission of quotation is on 19-09-2016 at 1500 hrs. The bids would be opened on the same day at 1600 hrs.
