Con Club
Chandra Emerson / Discuss, celebrate, learn and appreciate art, literature, media, and activities associated with Cons (anime, super heroes, fantasy, horror, manga, cosplay, etc.) / Attend meetings to become a member, there is no cost and the club meets twice a month on Tuesdays in room 114.
Beta Club
Susan Carr/Becky Law / Club promotes academic success and service. / To join the club students must have a 3.3 GPA unweighted and unrounded at the end of their freshmen year. Eligible students receive an invitation to join. Meetings are every Monday or the first day of the week in room 218, either before or after school (students simpy read the announcements posted on the screen) $25.00 one time dues.
Birmingham Project Club Colin Ross / To openly discuss ongoing race issues within and outside the school / Meets once a month, no costs or membership dues. Contact Mr. Ross to join.
Bridging Our Differences NixB Slider / This club works to bridge the gap between special needs teenagers and other students. / Meeting times vary, watch announcements for meeting times. Contact sponsor for joining requirements
Cards for Compassion Club OPEN / Encourages students to express compassion to those who may not receive it every day, as well as, provide support to those serving our country and those that need an encouraging word every once in / $5.00 dues for materials. Meeting dates and times vary.
Creative Writing Club

The goal of the Creative Writing Club is to create, maintain and publicize journal for creative writing and visual art. / Meetings typically begin right after school, dates are yet to be determined. Students who are interested in learning about writing, publishing, and editing should contact Mr. Jacksonn (room 116) for more information.

Diplomacy Club

Stacy Heineman / Members participate in mock government and model United Nation events. / Meets on Tuesdays at 7:45 am September - November and January - March.
Dragon Spirit Club
Kelsey Dudding / We help increase school spirit. We make and hang up posters around the school to advertise events.
We also plan one pep rally each semester. / Meets year round at various times. Meeting times are posted around the school and on the announcements. There are no costs to joining, only participation is required.
Drama Club
Shannon Miller / Participate in the production of plays / Audition, various fees and schedule is dependent on production.
Fashion Club
OPEN / To have creative discussions regarding fashion and network with others of the same interest. / No meetings currently scheduled
FCA
Steve Simpson / To show the love of Jesus Christ to students at South Oldham High School / Meets every Wednesday at 8:00 am in the gym during the school year. To join, show up to any meeting.

Members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and vocational preparation. / Any student enrolled in a FCS course may join. Friends of the Flag:
Freedom Folders Club David Cain / Focuses on the proper care and folding of the school flag / No costs are involved, there is no membership required. Meets each afternoon at the flag pole to fold the flag.

Norman Effingham / German culture and language acquisition beyondwhat is possible during class and done in a fun and competitive way / Members must be or have been in German Class.
Dues are $15.00. Meets 3 times a term on Tuesdays.
Harry Potter Club
Caroline Williams / To discuss and analyze a popular piece of youth literature. As well as, to encourage collaboration between classes. / Will meet twice a month and participate in a variety of activities based on the Harry Potter book series.

Knitting & Crocheting
Club
Jacqueline Bryan / To be a place where students who enjoy or want to learn about knitting /crocheting can come together and practice the craft. / Meets 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month.
Mu Alpha Theta Club Laura Jones / National Math Honor Society. Participates in national competitions, peer tutor, plan math related activities and host speakers from math related careers. / Members must be in advanced level math classes and have a 3.0 overall and a 3.0 in math. Meets 4-5 times per year on Mondays (am and pm). $15.00 dues.
National Art Honor
Society Jacqueline
Bryan / Promotes art awareness in our scool, establishes community service initiatives and small projects and to promote and participate in field trips to local art events and venues. / Any Sophomore, Junior or Senior who is currently enrolled in an art class may be a member. Member must complete 25 service hours promoting art. $5.00 national dues. Meets Weds. and Thurs. 4 to 6 pm in room 210
National Honor Society Courtney Perkins / NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. / Meets monthly, dues are $15.00 per year. Club is open to Juniors and Seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.80 or higher
S.A.F.E. (South Alliance for Fairness and Equality)
Club
Bryan Jackson / SAFE is a gay-straight alliance that serves as a social and support group for students in the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies. We talk about issues facing us in the school and share stories, play games, watch interesting films/shows, and discuss ways to make our South experience more inclusive. / The SAFE club meets weekly on Wednesdays in room 116. Contact Mr. Jackson to join. There is no cost.
Scholastic Competition
Club (Academic Team)
Bryan Jackson / The Academic team competes against other schools in scholastic competition. We compete in the Ohio Valley Academic League and in KAAC Governor's Cup. Students can compete in quick recall (like a quiz show format) and written assessments (tests) in five subjects. / Although there is no costs, students must provide their own transportation to meets. Typically meets Mondays during the season. Requires a one year commitment.
