Technology Manager (260-day position)

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of a Bachelor in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Systems or a related field.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

These desired criteria will be used to screen applications and evaluate each candidate for the position:

Oversees and directs the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the District’s computer systems including file servers, network operating systems (NOS), electronics, LANs, WAN, telephone system, personal computers (PC), desktop operating systems (OS), peripherals, software, database systems, and the like

Establishes standards and oversees the purchase of new hardware and software to ensure compliance with compatibility with existing systems, District policies and District goals

Supports and promotes the effective use of technology throughout the district

Reviews, evaluates, and updates district technology policies and the district technology plan as necessary

Maintains the technology budget for both district annual purchases and maintenance/repair

Provides training on district technology where applicable

Assesses technology needs, evaluates new technologies, and attends technical conferences or seminars to stay abreast of emerging technology

Supervises and directs Student Technology Assistants and participates in the selection/hiring process

Attends Administrative Staff meetings, and other meetings as required

Works with faculty and administrators on available technology grants

Oversees the maintenance and updating of the school district web site

Proactively seeks technical training when necessary

SALARY

Salary will be determined based on experience and education background.
