Bio for Paul and Donna CoxMay 2015

Paul and Donna Cox are missionaries with Africa Theological Seminary (ATS), a ministry of International Christian Ministries (ICM). They are involved with teaching, researching and writing and are based in Kenya.They have been married over 20 years and have three teenage children: Nehemiah, Micah Joy and Miriam. Prior to teaching at ATS, they served with Trans World Radio (TWR) in Kenya where Paul was the Director of Discipleship, in Benin (West Africa) where Paul was Station Director and in Swaziland (Southern Africa), where Miriam was born. Prior to their marriage, Donna served with Africa Inland Mission in Kenya for two years.

Paul grew up in Belen, New Mexico and became a believer when he was 10 years old during a revival. During college Paul was deeply moved by a presentation on missions and since then has been committed to the cause of God being glorified in the whole world.

Donna grew up Fort Worth, Texas and was led to the Lord by her mother when she was six. Shortly afterward at a GA mission’s day camp, God moved in her heart to be a missionary to Africa. At the age of 6, Donna announced to her parents that she was going to be a missionary to Africa and they suggested that she wait a few years.

Paul received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico, his Masters of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and is currently a Doctor of Philosophy candidate at South Africa Theological Seminary. Paul was ordained to the ministry of the gospel by New Covenant Church, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Donna received her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and Early Childhood from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas and her Masters in Multicultural Curriculum Development from the University of New Mexico. Both Paul and Donna have completed a year of French study at Parole de Vie Béthel in Sherbrooke, Québec.

In addition to their experience with ATS and TWR, Paul has worked as an audio and broadcast engineer in the both secular and Christian industries and has worked as a biblical counselor. Donna has worked as an educator of children in public, private and boarding schools and has worked as an educator of adults in the area of children’s education.
