BILL DISPENSER
HARDWARE DEBUG
- Detecting the Bill Dispenser.
Solutions:
- Run the BDVT program and click on the Detect button. You will see the following display if it is detected.
- Now you can click on the button test dispense, and the bill will dispense one bill.
- If you made the test and you get the response the bill is working good then check the register where the bill are connected to the serial port .
To verify the correct COM port number in the Registry Editor:
Start > Run > regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ Boink Corp\ Application Name\ OCX\ DEVICES\ bill dispenseCOMPort Reg_Z Port Number
- The bill dispenser must always be connected to COM port one (1) of the computer.
- Do a Test Dispense on each cassette by selecting a cassette and clicking the OK button. The bill from the selected cassette is dispensed to the reject bin of the dispenser
- Bill Dispenser is not detected.
Solutions:
- Check that the bill dispenser is correctly connected COMPort 1
- Check that both led’s on the bill dispenser are on.
- Check that the power supply of the bill dispenser is connected on the power plate.
- Check that power connection of the bill dispenser is correctly connected to the power plate.
- Bill jam error.
Solution:
Remove any obstruction along the tracks
To verify that it is working, reload the kiosk with the application and execute a $6.30 test.
- Blocked Exit Sensor:
Solution:
Remove any obstruction carefully. Note: Preferably blow compressed are to remove the obstruction and remove residual dirt. DO NOT TOUCH THE SENSOR WITH YOUR FINGERS.
- Pick Sensor Failure
Solution:
Remove the cassettes. Locate the pick sensor between the pick mechanism and the transport section. Remove any obstruction and blow compressed air to remove residual dust. Carefully clean the sensor with a soft towel.
DO NOT TOUCH THE SENSOR WITH YOUR FINGERS
- The Belts have fallen OFF the rollers on the NCR.
Solution:
Locate the fallen belts and try to put them back on the correct rollers. See next page for proper belt location
- Pick errors, when the pick is blocked or the little suction cups are cracked or dirty. When you run the HARDWARE TEST program on the displayshow:
Solution:
Clean the suction cups with a soft towel (DO NOT TOUCH THE CUPS WITH YOUR FINGERS).
Replace any broken suction cups (clean fingers with alcohol)
To replace the pick you have to stretch the rubber cup over the metal so that it forms a seal between the metal and rubber.
- If after all the sensors and suction cups are verified to be ok and all the bills are rejected, execute the Hawk program and check the opacity.
- Go to Hardware file and open Bill dispenser test file.
- Go to hawk program.
- Go to Debug Multi Pick (F2).
- Go to Multi Sensor Diagnostic (F6)
- Select top position.
- The display below shows the bill opacity. In this case the opacity is 28.
- Now click on the button set opacity.
- Type in the opacity from the Multi Sensor Diagnostics.
- Nowexecute a Test Dispense, click on the button dispense options.
- Click on the button
