Bill Dieter Rules the Lanes!

Congratulations to Bill Dieter on his 251-208 victory over John Harook in the Championship Round of the 2006 Summer Kickoff. Bill’s confidence was so high coming into the tournament that he chirped “Here’s my donation!” That donation returned itself many times over as he received $280.00 for his victory. Bill qualified 8th with a handicap score of 729 before he started his march through a very daunting bracket. He defeated Dennis Arend 243-234, Ron Ellis 255-246,and Don Lovely 232-209 before facing John Harook for the championship. John bowled a solid 717 qualifying score before toppling Scott Turner Jr. 255-221, Rod Radant 225-207, and Adam Smith 251-223.

Fifty bowlers competed for $1200.00 in prize fees. No one completed the 30 clean challenge, Ed Rondot’s Pro Shop will raise the guaranteed bonus to at least $160.00 for any person(s) who completes the challenge at the July 1 Billy Ho Pen shoot out at Maplewood Lanes. Three bowlers tied for the last matchplay spot with a 673 handicap score. Doug McIntire won the one game roll off 267 over Don Feldkamp’s 255 and Tim McGrath’s 215. The high qualifier was Adam Smith with a score of 775; Ed Rondot rolled the high game in qualifying (hooray me!) with a 287.
