Sue Dow

About Group Works

Sue Dow is the Principal, facilitator and coach and has managed programs for people with disabilities for over 35 years. She has a BA in English and Journalism and a Masters Degree in Special Education with an emphasis on behavioral theory and extended special studies in cooperative learning and peer mentoring.

During the course of her career, she has developed statewide fund raising initiatives, new service systems and comprehensive marketing programs, coordinated major community events and conferences, written for daily newspapers, lobbied the Montana state legislature and served on many state planning groups.

Consulting Services Description:

Sue is a frequent facilitator on topics such as behavioral theory and practice, intervention skills for caretakers, community mapping, conflict resolution and communication, strategic planning, program evaluation and supervision, succession planning and Board roles and responsibilities, utilizing a hugely successful collaborative methodology.

She has been offering motivational keynotes at statewide and national conferences for many years on such topics as empowerment, the power of diversity and community connections and is an adjunct instructor at Montana State University-Billings, teaching in the Department of Special Education.
