Testimonials:
We have worked alongside BIG for three years now and each year I
believe the bullying intervention work has been a great success. Val
and Viciy are very prudent at replying quickly and effectively to any
questions or queries I may have. They have delivered a number of very
effective workshops in school including buddy training, lunchtime
supervisor training, E safety training and anti bullying roadshow to
both ks1 and ks2. Val and Vicky are both very friendly and
approachable people who deliver training in a fun and friendly way.
Through our workshops we have successfully received the BIG award for
three consecutive years. This is an area which helps us meet ofsted
expectations. We will continue to work along BIG for the forthcoming
future. Thanks for all your help, advice and guidance.
Emma Spooner – Teacher & Anti bullying Lead at North Park School, Spennymoor.
The support that we receive from BIG is excellent and has contributed
to our recent OFSTED ‘outstanding’ judgement for Behaviour and Safety.
Val and Vicky have delivered roadshows, buddy and mini-bud training,
e-safety lessons and offer bespoke packages for individuals and
groups. Pupils enjoy the sessions and we see an immediate impact on
friendship groups and relationships within school. Pupils often ask to
see Viva staff for a follow up when they are struggling, or just to
share their successes. Val and Vicky are always ready to adapt
sessions according to the needs of the school and individuals. They
offer good value for money and are always just a phone call away.
Their input contributes strongly to our whole school, anti-bullying
strategy.OFSTED – June 2015
‘pupils recall learning from anti-bullying workshops ……. They know
that bullying can take different forms, such as racist name calling or
cyber bullying, but explain that this is uncommon at their school. A
large majority of parents agree that bullying is dealt with
effectively. Pupils explain that if bullying should ever happen, they
trust staff to deal with matters swiftly.
E-safety has high importance, with displays and frequent reminders
about safe internet use.
Joanne Cruise – Headteacher, St Pius RC Primary, Consett.
BIG have provided anti - bullying training and support for a number
of years now at Catchgate Primary School. During that time they have
supported children, staff and parents/carers on issues related to
incidents of bullying, prevention of bullying, training and workshops.
BIG are extremely knowledgeable about bullying/cyberbullying and have
excellent presentation skills. In addition, they are very personable,
organised, flexible and punctual. They are a very good service I would
commend highly.
Rachel Faddy – Teacher at Catchgate Primary School.
