Bid Specifications for Water Meter Purchase

BID SPECIFICATIONS FOR WATER METER PURCHASE
May 24, 2017
The Town of Patagonia is going to purchase 390 5/8 x 3/4 inch cold water meters, each with radio-based AMR meter reading modules and the equipment and software necessary for hand held and drive by reading of the meters and transferring the results to the town billing system. The meters are to be delivered, upon request, in lots of 100 (90 for the final lot) to the Town. All of the deliveries are to be completed within 8 months from the date of award for the purchase.
The bid price shall also include training in the installation operation and reading of the meters.
Annual licensing and maintenance costs for any software or equipment, if applicable, shall be included on the bid form.
Meter Specifications:
Meters shall conform to AWWA C-700 as most recently revised.
Meters shall be 5/8 x 3/4 inch cold water meters calibrated to read in us gallons with radio read encoder and battery.
Encoder Specifications:
Shall conform to American Water Works Standard C-700 as most recently revised
Encoder shall provide at least a 35 day rolling memory capable of providing the following:
1. Leak detection. Leak shall be classified as constant or intermittent, if classified as intermittent an interval showing the number of days the leak was detected must be provided.
2. Reverse flow detection. Encoder shall be capable of reporting whether the reverse flow event was large or small.
3. Tamper detection.
The host PC software shall have a reporting function detailing each of the categories listed above by account, showing where potential leaks (constant or intermittent), reverse flow, or tamper has been detected.

Sealed bids shall be submitted on or before 3:00 p.m. on June 12, 2017 to the Town Hall, 310 McKeown Avenue, Patagonia, AZ 85624
All bids shall be submitted on the form attached below.
