TO PARENTS OF ALL PROM ATTENDEES

Parent Information

The After Prom Party will be held at BassettHigh School, immediately following the Prom from 12:30 until 4:00am. The Prom will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014. The doors will open at 12:30am and STUDENTS MUST ARRIVE BEFORE 1:30am or they will not beadmitted! This allows time after the prom for students to change from prom attire into their After Prom tee shirt and jeans.
All activities, food and tee shirts are included in the price of the $10.00 ticket. After Prom Tee Shirts are given to students when they purchase a ticket. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. No additional money is needed for the party. There will be large inflatable games, small table games, food court, photo opportunities, crafts, music, “THE STORE”, caricature artists, and CASH Prizes. Students will earn “Bengal Bucks” when they participate in an activity and then will spend their “Bucks” at the store which will be stocked with lots of great items.
A sign in and out sheet will be located at the door. Students may leave at any time, but only if their parent or guardian has been called and gives permission.Students are notpermitted to re-enter once they leave the building. Parents MUST remember that they will be notified (during the hours of 1:30 am thru 3:45 am) if a student who bought a ticket does not arrive or before 3:45 a.m.Refunds will not be given to student who buy a ticket and does not attend the party.
ONLY Juniors and Seniors from Bassett High School and their approved guests will be allowed to attend the party. You do not have to attend the Prom in order to participate in the After Prom Party. You also do not have to bring a guest to attend the party. Anyone with a ticket must be accompanied by a Bassett Junior or Senior. Underclassmen may attend if they are the approved guest of a BHS Junior or Senior and are accompanied by them.
CASH prizes will be awarded at 3:30am in the auditorium. Only BHS Juniors and Seniors are eligible for these cash prizes which will be awarded on the spot, therefore, a student MUST be present to win.
At 3:45 a.m. a special drawing will be held to select four (4) Bassett Seniors and four (4) Bassett Juniors (two (2) as qualifiers and two (2) as alternates) for an opportunity to win a 2014Hyundai Elantra donated by First Team Auto Mall. The Grand Finale and drawing for the car is sponsored by RAYSAC and will be held in Roanoke, Virginia June 1, 2014.
Students are asked to leave valuables at home. The After Prom Party Committee is not responsible for any personal belongs that are lost, stolen or damaged. For the student’s convenience, a lay-a-way station will be available to store the items purchased at “The Store” until time to leave.
Henry County Officers will be on duty during the entire After Prom Event.
NO profanity, vulgarity or violence will be tolerated.
NOtobacco, alcohol, and/or illegal substances will be tolerated. Any person found in possession of or under the influence of such substances will immediately be turned over to law enforcement officers and BHS Administration. Parents will be notified immediately.

If you are planning to help with the party, please arrive at the school by 11:30 pmin order to sign in, receive a name tag and be assigned a work area. We also encourage all volunteers to purchase a $10.00 After Prom tee shirt which will be available that night.
