Travel Grant Application
Mission:
- The BHD Foundation currently provides funding in order to:
- Promote, advance and exploit research into molecular genetics, clinical investigations and therapeutic technologies so as to better understand, prevent, diagnose, relieve and ultimately cure symptoms caused by Birt-Hogg-Dubé syndrome (BHD);
- Freely disseminate the results of such research to the public.
- Applications are accepted for the following, in order of priority:
- To attend a scientific meeting/lecture tour/workshop/international congress to present research pertaining to Birt-Hogg-Dubé syndrome;
- To engage in international collaborative research pertaining to Birt-Hogg-Dubé syndrome;
Application Information:
- Eligibility
- Anyone currently engaged in basic or clinical research into the Birt-Hogg-Dubé syndrome.
- No individual is eligible for more than one grant in any twelve month period. BHD Foundation or Myrovlytis Trust grant-holders whose grant contains a travel allowance are ineligible.
- Successful applicants must normally make their own travel and visa arrangements.
- Available funds
- Funds are strictly limited. The maximum individual award available is £1,000.
- Awarding of grant
- Grant payment requires submission of receipts. For travel to a meeting, grant payment also requires evidence of meeting acceptance/registration.
- Successful applicants, upon return, must submit a report. This should explain how the aims of the BHD Foundation have been furthered, and might be made available on the BHD Foundation website.
