College Algebra (Advanced Algebra II) DUAL CREDIT

Grades 10, 11, 12

Prerequisite: Algebra I and Geometry

Students wishing to receive Dual Credit for Advanced Algebra II will be required to pay university tuition to earn four semester credits at Dickinson State University. Students must apply for admission to DSU and meet the ACT math score of 21 or higher. If you have not taken the ACT, you may take the COMPASS placement test (score 49 or higher) by contacting DSU. Contact DSU at 483-2999 for a COMPASS test date and time. If you are interested in receiving Dual Credit for Advanced Algebra II, please indicate this on your registration sheet by writing DC behind Advanced Algebra II.

SENIORS- the Dr. Henry A. Springer Scholarship is available and can be picked up with any counselor. At least 20, $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to seniors who have applied to college and been accepted. In addition to completing the scholarship application, students will need to provide verification of their families 2015 adjusted gross income with the front page of the 2015 tax form. All information is confidential. The deadline is April 1, 2016.

R-COOL-Health Scrubs Academy 2 - Students in Grades 9-11 – who are interested in a medical career should sign up for this limited enrollment summer opportunity if interested. Learn what the health care professionals do in a FUN and INTERACTIVE way! The academy will take place at Bismarck State College from July 24th – July 26th, 2016 and the cost is $175. Male Students- If you are a male student who has turned 18, you are required by law to register with the Selective Service at sss.gov within 30 days of turning 18. Registering for the Selective Service is also necessary to receive any Federal Financial Aide for higher education.

SENIORS – Dickinson State University Student Center-Spring Open House-April 1, 2016 – Check in and welcome starts at 10am and a free lunch will be provided. Students who attend will be given a DSU tour and will have Admissions Information, have an option of breakout sessions that include a Financial Aid Session, Student Panel or Take a Class. Students will also be allowed to meet with an advisor as DSU will be accepting registrations.
