NANCY ANDERSON

Nancy Anderson is a born medium and intuitive. She was blessed with multiple gifts – clear seeing, hearing, smell, touch, knowing – which allow her to see through to the other side. She uses these gifts to assist individuals and families with healing after the loss of a loved one, or to examine energy around a current or future life situation. These gifts can be used to look at health, behaviors, communications, relationships, and to provide greater understanding of why things have happened a particular way. Nancy has used these gifts to assist over 1,500 clients in 21 states.

Before using these gifts full-time, she worked at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, SD and in public relations and marketing in the Minneapolis area. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Intercultural Communications.

GINA NELSON

Gina S. Nelson grew up in Tripp, SD, and attended high school in Madison, SD. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from South Dakota State University. After obtaining her law degree in 2003, Gina worked for the judges of the 7th Judicial Circuit Court in Rapid City, serving as their law clerk. Gina then went on to work at the Pennington County State’s Attorney’s Office for over 12 years, working all areas of crime to include drug cases, sexual assault, child pornography, thefts/forgeries, assaults, homicide and many other types of cases. In November 2016, Gina began working as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of South Dakota under Attorney General Marty Jackley. Gina is based out of the Rapid City Attorney General/Department of Criminal Investigation Office. Her primary duties include the prosecution of drug crimes, primarily focusing on drug trafficking/drug distribution cases. She works closely with the Unified Narcotics Enforcement Team (UNET) which is a collaboration of many law enforcement agencies focusing on drug investigations. She also works with the Highway Patrol Canine Handlers and has prosecuted a number of Highway Patrol drug trafficking stops, handling a variety of suppression and other evidentiary matters. As Assistant AG, she also prosecutes child pornography cases, and assists other West River counties with many types of cases, including drugs, sexual assaults and homicides.

SERGEANT MATT OXNER

Sergeant Matt Oxner has been a Trooper with the South Dakota Highway Patrol from 2000 to 2013; a Police Service Dog Handler from 2002 to present; a SWAT member from 2004 to 2009; Sergeant from 2013 to the present; a Police Service Dog Judge with the International Congress Police Service Dogs; Admin/Manager of the Black Asphalt Vehicle Concealment Database from 2008 to the present; and an Associate Instructor/Lead Instructor with Desert Snow from 2007 to the present. He has been involved in over 450 major criminal interdiction cases. Matt has seized more than $4,573,671 in US Currency, 10,027 lbs. of marijuana, 400 vials of steroids, 156 lbs. of cocaine, 159 lbs. of meth, 74 guns, 58 lbs.of hashish, 45 lbs. of psilocybin mushrooms, 34 lbs. of Ecstasy, 100 lbs. of THC Edibles, 21 lbs. of Butane Hash Oil (Wax), 10 lbs. of heroin, 5 suspected terrorists, and 1 lb. of opium poppies. Matt has received numerous recognitions/awards for criminal interdiction efforts which include: 2003 and 2005 Officer of the Year Awards; 6 SD Highway Patrol Superintendent’s Performance Awards; SD Highway Patrol Meritorious Service Award; 2011 and 2013 Desert Snow Relentless Pursuit Awards; and the 2014 Desert Snow Excalibur Award.

DEANNA BECKET

Deanna Becket is a professional keynote speaker, author, and Life, Leadership, and Health and Freedom Coach.

Originally from North Dakota, Deanna spent her last semester of college in Melbourne, Australia and graduated from North Dakota State University, Fargo, North Dakota in 1994. She married her husband, Chris, in 1996 and has lived in the Black Hills of South Dakota ever since. They have homeschooled both of their children through high school. She has a self -proclaimed Ph.D. in M.O.M.! Deanna’s style is to humor, entertain, inspire and encourage audiences to reach higher and accomplish what they dream. Using real life stories of her childhood, college years, development during her business growing years, and experience as a homeschool mom, Deanna leads your audience to keep forging ahead, even in the toughest times.

Summary of Presentation:

After attending this seminar, you will be more confident in organizing a simple 30- to 60-second oral report or a 5- to 10-minute speech. Deanna will guide you through some simple steps to outline your thoughts, ideas, and goals for any presentation. You will have the opportunity to role play, with a partner, the organizing, speaking, and concluding of your presentation goals. You will get to break down parts of Deanna’s keynote presentation to understand the dynamics of a large presentation and how it relates to a small impromptu or prepared talk.

HERB & SHELLEY EBEL

Herb & Shelley Ebel, married for 25 years with 2 wonderful children, are the owners of OsteoStrong Rapid City and Regional Developers for SD, ND, MT, UT and WA. Herb spent the majority of his career with Hewlett Packard as a Business Development Manager. Shelley was a Magistrate Court Reporter for 10 years and later a Medical Transcriptionist for 15 years. After 18 years in Seattle, the Ebels returned home to Rapid City where they started anOsteoStrong in August of 2016 to help Shelley overcome her own challenges with low bone density and to assist the residents of SD.

Teresa will explain the new NCRA DiscoverSteno A to Z program and promote court reporters across South Dakota to hold programs within their cities; how to advertise for participants; setting up and conducting the 8-week course to prospective students who will be able to learn the alphabet in steno, write on a real steno machine, and help them decide if pursuing an education in court reporting or captioning is a perfect fit for them.
