School Project Manager Place2BeMarch 2016 –April 2018
Salmestone Primary School, Margate (part time)
In early2016 I set up and rana successful in-school therapy/counselling project for a large primary school in Margate for national children’s charity Place2Be.
In adherence to the Place2Be model my main duties included:
Responsibility for the day-to-day running of the therapy/counselling service in school.
Carrying out in-depth clinical assessmentsof children and families, withregular clientevaluation.
Providing therapy in the form of 1:1 sessions, group work, whole class work and informal lunchtime drop-in sessions for the children at the school.
Supervising a team of volunteer counsellors. This role was both clinical and managerial.
Forming a close working relationship with all school staff and many parents, on occasion providing counselling support for staff as well as advice on the children’s emotional wellbeing.
Ongoing service evaluation with regular report writing.
Maintaining the therapy rooms, including controlling a small budget for materials.

I live with my wife Paula and our 3 children and I have a full clean driving license.
