BELTON MIDDLE SCHOOL

7th grade Field Day – May 24 – Wednesday

8th grade Field Day – May 25 - Thursday

6th grade Field Day – May 26 – Friday

  • 7th and 8th grades --- Field Day will begin at 8:30am in the gym. At 10:00am, all activities in the gym should be completed and we will head to the football field. We will break for lunch around 11:20am on the 7th grade day and 12:15pm on the 8th grade day.
  • 6th grade ---- Field Day will begin at 8:30am on the football field. At 10:30am, students will return to their classroom to get ready for lunch. Activities will resume in the gym around 11:30pm. Once the gym activities are completed, we will head back to the football field.
  • Field Day will be finished by 2:00pm.
  • Upon arrival on campus, please go to the main office area and sign in. You will be given a visitors tag that must be worn at all times while you are on the campus.
  • Smoking or use of other tobacco products is not allowed anywhere on school grounds.
  • Please dress appropriately. Do not wear midriff shirts, muscle shirts, or short shorts.
  • Please refrain from using inappropriate or offensive language while on campus.
  • Please show good sportsmanship. Our students are expected to do so, and we need to set good examples for them to follow.
  • Students will sit with their class when not participating. Field Day is a school day and the teachers are responsible for the students.
  • The visitor football bleachers will be reserved for parents. You are also welcome to bring a chair and place on the visiting side track.
  • You may park in the road parallel to the football field. Please DO NOT park on the grass.
  • Students will not be allowed to leave campus and return on Field Day. (Exception: A doctor/dentist appointment; an excuse must be turned in when the child returns to school.)
  • Family members are not allowed on the field during events.
  • A concession stand will be open throughout the day.
  • Students can bring water bottles from home.
  • BMS students are ONLY allowed to attend their grade level Field Day.
  • Students will NOT be allowed to have cell phones, chrome book, or any other electronic device during Field Day activities.

STUDENT INFORMATION

  • ALL outstanding fees owed to BMS must be paid before you can participate in fun day. For example but not limited to: cafeteria fees, library fees, any student fees, etc.
  • Students MUST wear tennis shoes with backs and laces at all times. No flip flops and/or cleats can be worn.
  • Shorts can be worn. PLEASE NOTE. Shorts MUST meet the SCHOOL dress code of at or around the knee and there can be no writing across the seat.
  • Also, if you wear yoga style shorts, pants, or leggings you MUST wear regular shorts over them.
  • Hats can be worn outside of building only. Hats will be taken if worn inside the building.
  • Students can bring your gloves for the tug of war event. We will NOT be responsible for lost/stolen items.

Field Day is an all-day event. Keep in mind that the temperature is usually pretty high and the sun is usually shining brightly. Therefore, we recommend that students bring sunscreen so they can reapply throughout the day. Please do not expect teachers to provide and/or apply sunscreen. Your child can bring a towel to sit on while waiting to participate. They will not be allowed to bring chairs. Students will be responsible for their belongings.
