Types of Presentations
Students are invited to present their work at the 6thannual Behavior and Brain Sciences Symposium (BBSS). Students from all disciplines related to behavior and brain sciences, including human and animal research, are encouraged to submit. Three types of presentations are available to students:
Paper Presentation: / The paper presentation is a 20 minute presentation of a student’s research. The presentation will be followed by approximately 5 minutes of questions from attendees. Research does not need to be published to be considered for the paper presentation. Please note the research presented during the paper presentation must be empirical.Data Blitz: / The data blitz is a short 5-7 minute presentation of a student’s research. There will be an opportunity to ask students questions at the end of all of the presentations. Students will be limited to 5 slides for this presentation. Research does not need to be published to be considered for the data blitz. Empirical and theoretical review papers are encouraged for this presentation.
Poster Session: / During the poster session, students will stand by their posters while attendees mingle and ask questions about the students’ research. The poster sessions provide students the opportunity to present research at all stages to a wide variety of colleagues across disciplines and may be empirical or theoretical.
