BEE BRIEF #22 – Feb. 9, 2018

  • Grade 4 STEM evening, Monday, Feb. 12, 6-8PM.
  • Mardi Gras: Tuesday, Feb. 13. Parents will bring in crepes to the French classes. Please invite your colleagues. Students will be given masks, offered by Fasnypta and may wear decorative beads and colorful clothing.
  • “Show Your Love for FASNY”: As part of the Fund for Fasny campaign, our Campus Ambassadors will be distributing heart-shaped ”I Love Fasny” stickers for all students and staff, to be worn on Tuesday, Feb. 13. Nora and Clementwill send you a detailed email. Please take as many pictures of students with their stickers and email them to . The best photos will appear on the Fasny website and Facebook page.
  • Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14: Just a reminder that children should not be bringing in any kind of cookies and candies for this holiday, or for any other activity, due to allergies.
  • Winter recess begins on Friday, Feb. 16 at the end of the day. Clubs, childcare and chorus will take place. All classrooms on the main floor (except 103), gym and cafeteria will be used. Please ask students in these classrooms to transfer belongings from their desks to their lockers.
  • Portal update date: Friday, Feb. 16
  • LOCKER CLEAN UP/LOST AND FOUND: Please ask students to clean their lockers,take home items they do not need, removeold lunch containers and multiple water bottles, and throw out food and wrappers. They should also check the lost and found. We will donateunclaimed clothing to “Kids in Transit” during the vacation.
  • The Carrera Diaz family will be leaving the school definitively on Friday, Feb. 16, Diego in 5B, Eva in 4C.
  • Class reviews: will begin on TUESDAY, Feb. 27. A provisional schedule will be sent. Please write comments only when needed.
  • Second semester clubsbegin on Monday, Feb. 26. Please remind your students where they should go for their activities.
  • Hoops for Hearts: Friday, March 2. Grade 3 will play basketball against each other, grade 4 will compete against parents, caregivers or other adults, grade 5 will play against the staff. Times will be announced shortly.
  • Gala: Saturday, March 17. Tickets are now available.
  • The Lower School Musical,“Peter Pan” will take place on Friday, March 23 at 7:00PM and Saturday March 24, at 3:00 PM.At the Murray Ave. School. There will be rehearsals every afternoon from 4-6:30PM from March 19-22.
