Beatles’ Apple Records-US Manager to Speak at St.Timothy’s Church, Herndon; 2ndThief Band to Perform

HERNDON, VA – Ken Mansfield, U.S. Manager of Apple Records for the Beatles, will bring his unique testimonial to St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, October 19, 2008, at 7:00 pm. Ken spent many years in the Beatles inner sanctum as executive, liaison and close friend. He was even present “on the rooftop” for the Beatles’ last concert in London. During his 30-plus years in the music industry Ken also worked with some of the most famous artists of our time and has many fascinating stories about those years.

Ken will share his experiences as a top music executive, his private time with the Beatles and his personal “long and winding road” to the love of Jesus. This renowned and entertaining international speaker draws on his rich experience as a Grammy-winning producer, songwriter, entertainer, executive and manager. His book, The Beatles, the Bible and Bodega Bay, was rated one of the top three Beatles books of all time.

2nd Thief, a local Christian band, will open the event at 6:30 pm with an acoustic set, including Beatles songs. Following a short film about his life with the Beatles, Ken will tell how he went “from rags to riches and back” before finally discovering the riches only God can provide. There will be time for questions and an opportunity to meet Ken and his wife, Connie, personally.

The evening is “guaranteed to raise a smile”! Mark your calendars and invite your family, friends and neighbors to this unique non-denominational event.

Tickets are $10 per person/$25 per family (any size) at the door only, St. Timothy’s Church, 432Van Buren St., Herndon, VA.
