Toddler Newsletter -

Bear Cubs, Skunks, and Chipmunks

November/December 2016

❖  Since winter is coming, please make sure children are coming in with weather appropriate clothes and shoes. When the temperatures drop and the snow flies we need winter coats, snow pants, boots, hats, and mittens everyday. If it is 20 degrees or above, we go outside.

❖  Please make sure your child’s extra clothes bins are well stocked and size and weather appropriate. Children grow quickly so check their bins.

❖  Please wash your child’s hands, as well as your own, upon your arrival to the classroom. This is a state regulation and it will decrease the spread of germs during this cold season. Thank you for helping keep our classroom clean and healthy.

❖  Please pay attention to your child’s daily sheets. They contain important information about your child’s day, upcoming classroom events, and it lets you know if they are running low on supplies.

❖  Please have at least two choices of food at each meal time and remember pizza day is Friday, but we do need the $1.50 that day, in order to cover the cost of the pizza.

❖  Everyone should have two cups, one for milk and one for water. They will be sent home daily to be washed. This also helps with the spread of germs.

❖  We do ask that you bring a sheet and blanket for rest time every Monday and we will send them home every Friday to be washed.

❖  Please provide us with 4-5 family pictures so that we can make a family quilt square for your child. They really enjoy seeing other’s friend families so they would love to see theirs!

❖  LABEL everything that comes into the center. Children often have similar items and labeling is the only way to insure items get returned to the right families.

❖  We would like to welcome Emmaline, Stella, Jaiden, and Clara into the toddler rooms! We are sad to say goodbye to Emma, Porter, Jacob, and Zoe as they move on.

❖  We love to have family participation in the classroom, so if you would like to join us in helping with art projects or reading stories, you are more than welcome. Typically, these times would be 10-11 in the morning or 3:30-4:30 in the afternoon.

❖  Upcoming themes – Music, Nature, Thanksgiving, Snow, Holidays
