ICOM-6 Symposium Submission Form

A symposium may consist of 6, 7, or 8 talks, but symposia of other lengths will be also considered. Symposia cannot be longer than one full day. It is recommended that symposia typically consist of 7 or 8 talks. A full day symposium is also possible (15 talks). Note that symposia of 8 and 7 talks neatly fit into a morning and afternoon respectively.

The symposia organizer must always chair the symposia. Use of discussants, who should be allocated a full 20-minute slot, is encouraged.

Symposium presentations are 20 minutes. STRICTLY: 15 minutes for presentation, 2 minutes for questions, and 3 minutes to allow delegates to leave/join the symposium. Note that ALL presentations have to adhere to this schedule to avoid large groups of people arriving while a presentation is being made. The Chair is required to stop a presentation after 15 minutes.
