BBC Local Radio & RHS Design a Garden Competition 2016

This year’s theme: Feel Good Gardens – Taking Inspiration from Where You Live

4 gardens based on 4 winning designs will be exhibited at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2016.

Name/Title for your garden – and the area of England/Channel Islands/Isle of Man it relates to;:
Design brief – in no more than 300 words explain the thinking behind your design and how it reflects the theme. Bear in mind the judging criteria (to be found in the terms and conditions) when writing these paragraphs.
Plant list – in no more than 300 words list below the plants you have chosen for your design and approximate quantities. Explain briefly how and why they will complement each other in a garden setting. Please choose plants that are appropriate for the season. The organisers may refine the winner’s plant list and make substitutions depending on availability of plants leading up to the flower show.
Features – in no more than 300 words outline any featured items (e.g. sculpture, furniture etc.) and how they will contribute to the design.
Budget – in more than 300 words explain roughly how a budget of up to £5,000 would be spent. This could be shown in figures or in percentages allocated against certain items (e.g. plants, hard landscaping, travel and accommodation).
