Dear Students and Families,
We look forward to seeing you for the 2017-18School Year at Bautista Creek Elementary School! We hope you are having an enjoyable summer! We are very excited about the school year starting and looking forward to another great year!
Once again, Hemet Unified School District will be doing all registrations for returning students online. It is imperative that you create an online Aeries Parent Portal in order to insure your child’s records and permissions are all in order. Beginning
July 1st, it will be possible for you to login and complete this process. We will host the final steps of registration at our school office July 26-28th. See attached information for details on what you need to bring to this appt. Classroom assignments and student/parent handbooks will be shared once families verify their address and provide a signed copy of the emergency card from Aeries to our front office during these dates. The first day of school is Monday, August 7th.
If you have a student entering Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten, we will be holding aKindergarten Meet and Greet prior to school beginning on Friday, August 4th from 11:00AM to 12:00PM. This will be a great opportunity for you and your kindergarten student to meet your child’s teacher and become familiar with our school.
Whether you are new to Bautista, or a returning family, we would like to invite you to participate in our Back to School Night. This evening is an important time to meet your child’s teacher and become familiar with the classroom, school procedures, and school wide expectations for behavior, along with the California Core Standards for English Language Arts and Math. Back to School Night will be held on Thursday, August 10th from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. We highly encourage you to attend. A brief PTA & Title One meeting sharing the “state of the school” along with staff introductions will begin at approximately 5:35 at the outside tables. Classroom sessions will be held at 6:05PM and again at 6:35PM. This school year we will be having early release Wednesday’s. Please see the new schedules listed below regarding the changes for Wednesday’s and the start and end times for the upcoming year.
Our campus is a closed campus to provide the safest possible learning environment. However, during the first three daysof school,
parents will be allowed to walk their child to their classroom, if desired, in order to facilitate familiarity with the campus, especially
for younger students. Beginning Thursday, August 10th, students will walk through the supervised gatesat the front of the school
and/or the north gates by the MPR. At the end of the school day, Kindergarten will dismiss through the north gates by the MPR;
Grades 1-2 will dismiss through the central gates by the bus loop and Grades 3-5 will dismiss at the south gates. All
students will be escorted to the supervised hill at the front of the school. Visitors to our campus must check in through
the office with proper ID,prior to volunteering or attending a prearranged meeting with a staff member.
The Bautista Creek Team has been working hard to ensure a successful school year, and continuing to provide a
rigorous, exemplary academic program for our students. We can’t wait to see you all in August!

Registration for Bautista students will be held at Bautista Creek Elementary during the last week of July. For faster service, please bring a printed copy of you student’s emergency card to your scheduled time. All parents are required to bring ID and oneproof of residency. Below are the scheduled times and days.

Registration: 8:00-11:00am & 12:00-3:00pm
Thursday July 27: Last name Alpha N-Z
Registration: 8:00-11:00am & 12:00-3:00pm
Friday July 28: Registration 8:00-11:00AM & 12:00-6:30pm
All address changes must be made at the DISTRICT OFFICEprior to re-registration. Students can NOT be assigned a teacher until re-registration is complete.
