COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Develops skills to create and maintain a basic Web page using HTML. Includes text formatting, lists, graphics insertion, tables, and the use of links to other pages.

COURSE NOTES:

Plagiarism:Any work that I determine to be plagiarized will receive a no-credit grade and possible removal from the course. Plagiarized means written or electronic material copied from a text or from another student's work. If one part of an assignment is determined to be plagiarized, the entire assignment is in question.

Withdrawal deadline: To receive a withdrawal grade, the student must fill out the proper forms at the Registration Center. Failure to attend class is NOT withdrawal. However, the instructor reserves the right to drop students from the course due to poor attendance or lack of participation and prerequisite skills.

Grades:You can check your grades by clicking on the Assessment button and the sublink, grades. If you feel you have a grade error contact me immediately.

Assignments:Once you have the assignment completed you will upload (using FTP protocol) the completed assignment to the Internet. Then you will use ONLY Delta’s e-mail; Webmail, and send me along with your name the URL; starting with http.

If an assignment is not uploaded to the Internet and you have not e-mailed me using Delta’s e-mail to let me know, it will not be accepted. Only onelate assignment will be accepted if the due date is missed. No late assignments will be accepted during the last week of the class.

Any assignments that have you using your Delta College e-mail must have the appropriateSUBJECT line: class, section number and lab name.

Be sure to include your name and the URL, starting with http: of your completed assignment in the body of the e-mail message.

ALL assignments MUST be uploaded to the Internet. You must follow the submission directions for this course.

Exams: There is a 10 question quiz the first week of the course that covers the notes on the Announcement section in Educator and the content found on the syllabus. The Final Exam is a comprehensive exam worth 75 points.

Listed below is a weekly schedule that you must follow. It is recommended that you print off the syllabus and highlight the important due dates. I also recommend that you do your work outside of Educator in a word format and save your work as you continue on. There is never a guarantee as to technology up and downs. You could be working along and lose your connection to the Internet and not actually know it. Make sure you use spell and grammar check before submitting your work for grading.
