BASIC CLASS RULES
The student needs to come to class every day. After three absences, the student might receive by e-mail an excessive absence form.
The student must be ON TIME for class. Tardiness disrupts the classroom and wastes time. If the student is more than 5 minutes late for class and if the door is open, the professor will take points out of your class participation grade. SEE #4.
If the student leaves the class early, he/she will be considered absent.
If the student is late most of the time, two situations are emergencies :

THE DOOR WILL BE LOCKED.
IF THE DOOR IS OPENNED YOUR INSTRUCTOR WILL TAKE 5 POINTS OFF EVERY DAY YOU ARE LATE.
EXCUSES DO NOT MATTER IN MOST CASES……an absence for any reason is still an absence. The student should save absences for emergencies only.

If a medical emergency occurs, student will provide documentation. If the proper documentation is provided, the professor will take this into consideration when he or she decides to give the student the opportunity to make up the work.

Disrupting class by taking out of turn, moving around the class without permission, or making excess noise will result in the student being sent out of class and marked absent. NO CELL PHONES OR BEEPERS ARE TO BE ON DURING CLASS…..please respect your professor and your classmates.

No electronic devices can be used in the classroom: I pod, laptops, and blue tooth devices.
