B.  All programming shall be saved in non-volatile memory.

C.  The TCP/IP-based irrigation system extender shall save the current running state to non-volatile memory every 10 minutes.

3.3  Communication Requirements

A.  The TCP/IP-based irrigation system extender shall be capable of using a static IP address or it can operate in DHCP mode.

B.  The compatible irrigation controller shall be capable of using a static IP address or it can operate in DHCP mode.

C.  The TCP/IP-based irrigation system extender and the compatible irrigation controller shall be on the same subnet.

D.  Each TCP/IP-based irrigation system extender shall be assigned to the compatible irrigation controller by programming the IP address of each TCP/IP-based irrigation system extender into the controller.

1.  The compatible irrigation controller has 8 available addresses for TCP/IP-based performance components. Each TCP/IP-based irrigation system extender connection uses one of these addresses.

E.  Where an existing network is not available, a radio network can be set up using Ethernet radios or Wi-Fi communication modules.

1.  Access to the Internet is not required.

For more information, please see the Ethernet Radio Technical Specification and Wi-Fi Module Technical Specification.
