~TCW complete the graphic organizer 7:Idea Support Map to examine the author’s persuasive writing and determine 1.) The idea the author wants you to believe, 2.)Reasons used to support idea. (Use projectable 8.3)
~TSW glue the sheet into the reading section of their notebooks.
~TSW read independently and complete a thinkmark. / ~TCW review the story read yesterday, and discuss persuasion.
~TSW get together with a partner and complete practice book p.85 on persuasion.

TTW: Review narrative writing, and discuss writing ideas for students’ writing.
TSW: Use jot page and pick a jot they are most interested in writing about. Have students take jot page and turn it into a brainstorm/prewrite.
TTW: Walk around the room monitoring and having mini conferences with students to make sure they are choosing an approved topic. / Grammar: TTW complete projectable 8.8 with students.
