Quarterly Oracle Critical Patches Testing Completed? Schedule move to PROD? – Julie reported that testing is close to being done, and she would like to move to PROD this weekend if possible. More Oracle updates are coming, but we need to have these finished first.

Moving of Banner PROD servers to Ginsburg – July 2013 – Julie would like this to be finished before August so we don’t have the same issues then that occurred today. If you are running things that have caused issues in the past, be careful running them, especially on New Student Orientation days, etc.

Evisions Upgrade – August 1st is the goal for Evisions.

Ohio Reciprocity – Julie reporting testing is being done on PPRD. The new residency code “O” causes a new set of things to happen with the Bursar’s Office. Pam explained that when SGASTDN has the “O” code, the student will be assessed non-resident fees and then a remit will be done. [Note: After this Banner Steering Committee meeting took place, it was decided that reciprocity students will be assessed resident fees]. Patrick added that we have to report how many students this agreement applies to every year. There are 31 active students in this category, but only 11 of these have registered. All 31 will be updated with the “O” code so they are ready if they register.

Shawna asked about Chancellor’s Scholarship recipients. Maria answered that they will be treated as Indiana residents and will also receive the Chancellor’s Scholarship. Julie added that students are already being informed by letter, and they have been manually remitted since July 1st. Non-resident data has to be sent to IU and Purdue. IU is ok, but Karen Geary has been working on changing the OSOR data for Purdue. Also, Kim is out this week, so keep Julie informed of any reporting issues.

Pam is calculating fees this week but has to wait until this gets into production.

TouchNet Bill + Outage – Shawna reported the TouchNet Bill + Payment System will be down July 9th from 8 a.m. until noon for an upgrade. She sent an email out requesting an outage message in myIPFW.

Gen Ed Core – Patrick is tracking the statewide Gen Ed Core, which requires additions to tables and OSOR. A transcript event will be added upon completion of the Gen Ed Core. This includes courses taken before Fall 2013, such as dual credit and transfer credit. For the Gen Ed Core, students have to either enter or be moved into the new curriculum.

Julie added that the DAAC team has spent a lot of time putting these new requirements into Degree Works, and she appreciates their hard work on this complicated task.

Mobile App Update – Shawna asked for an update on the Banner Mobile App. Terry C. replied that Purdue is trying to negotiate a deal with Ellucian for all of its campuses, and the June 15 deadline for special pricing has been extended to August. A security team from Purdue is going over the details. The app needs a landing page for authentication, and Ken Jaeger is working on this. Patrick has part of the app installed that does not require authentication. Julie and Terry C. have met with George McClellan about moving forward with this app.

IU Ware and dotCMS – Terry C. reported Ken has been working on these projects, and the target date for both is July 15th. IU Ware (free software through the bookstore) will be pushed out in my IPFW (not SSO). It will use the IPFW username and password, similar to how the IU remonstrance works.

Authorization to Use Banner Aid to Pay Prior Term Fees – Terry Dougherty is finding out if this will require a local mod.

Consent to Do Business Electronically – In response to Shawna’s question, Terry C. replied that Terry D. has gotten the code from Purdue, and Ken and Jacob will probably work on it. Pam relayed that the benefits of electronic authorization include an electronic 1098-T instead of mailing paper ones, monthly invoices emailed to students, and the agreement to abide by the policies and procedures of the University.
