Band Winter Concert Details
Dear Band Students and Parents,
Here is the final information for our Winter Concert that will be held on Friday, December 8th. This concert will feature the concert band and jazz band. We have spent many hours preparing for this concert and we look forward to performing! Remember that attendance is required and it is a large portion of your grade this quarter for both the dress rehearsals and the concert. Please arrange in advance for transportation, etc.
East Jazz Band Rehearsals:
Thursday, November 9 3-4:30- All
Thursday, November 16
Thursday, November 30
Concert Band Rehearsals
Brass: Monday, December 4th 3-4:15 pm
Woodwinds: Tuesday, December 5th 3-4:15 pm
Percussion: Wednesday, December 6th 3-4:15 pm
Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, December 7th:
3- 4:30 Concert Band, 4:30- 5:00 Jazz
Concert in East Auditorium: December 8th.
Time: Report between 6:15/6:30 for a 7 pm concert.
Concert Dress: “Christmassy”
All students should wear black on the bottom and red, green or white on top. Some suggestions would be nice pants/slacks, a skirt, shirt and tie. NO JEANS, SNEAKERS or TSHIRTS. Students must look classy and professional.
Band Dates for the future:
Spring Band Concert: Friday, May 4
Memorial Day Parade: Monday Morning, May 28th
