Director’s Report: Mr. Thomas

  1. Please go into CHARMS and make sure your contact information is complete and correct. For parents and students. We use that information in case of emergency!
  2. Drum major signups for next year: anyone who will be a junior or senior next year who is interested in becoming a drum major please sign up.
  3. Pep Band rehearsals will begin Wed. Nov 1 at 7:00 a.m. and continue every Monday and Wednesday morning through the first week of December.
  4. The classifications/categories at the KBA Competition were determined by the size of the band. Drum line and horn line, not including color guard or dancers.
  5. At the December 12 concert, the band will play two selections that they’ll play in the London parade ‘Ease on Down the Road,’ and the SMWest Fight Song. They will also play the KSU fight song, which won the bid at the silent auction.
  6. The London travelers will have street marching practice to be broadcast-worthy, especially on their parade corners. The non-travelers will stay in the classroom and have study hall on those days.
  7. OE will perform at the reception in London, instead of the concert. Check out the LNYDP website for information.
