Garda Vetting:

Our young people and our vulnerable adults are our two priority groups; they look to us adults to provide them with a secure and safe environment where they feel protected and safe. The aim is to enable them to take part in community activity. Garda Vetting is now in place and is a serious requirement for anyone who works with vulnerable people. Archbishop O Reilly has asked us to request Eucharistic Ministers and choir members in all our parishes to fill out the Garda Vetting form. The process is quite simple, it means filling out on line a list of addresses each applicant has lived at. We ask your cooperation with this important requirement.

The Peoples Bus Fundraising Drive:

SPONSOR A SEAT INITIATIVE

Our Lady Day-Care Centre Ballylanders needs to replace its 2005 bus and we are on the look-out for new fundraising ideas. One such idea will be to ask the local businesses to sponsor a seat on the new bus. Sponsorship will cost €250 per seat and over the next few weeks we will be making contact with the different businesses in the community asking for their support. There are 16 seats in total, so this once off opportunity is limited to the first 16 favourable replies we receive. The sponsor’s names will be clearly displayed on the bus when it wheels into action. For more details please feel free to contact Juliette Mc Sweeney on 0876894410 or any of the Day Care or Peoples Bus Committee. We would really appreciate your help.
