Padre Pio Pilgrimage:

National Pilgrimage of Devotees of St. Pio to Holycross Abbeywill take place onSunday 28th May. Devotions begin at1.30pmwith recitation of the Rosary followed by Stations of the Cross, Anointing of the Sick and concelebrated Mass at3pm. Please note there will be no4pmMass in Holycross Abbey on that day.

Meeting for Returned Lay Missionaries & Volunteers:

The Peoples Bus:

Fundraising for The Peoples Bus 2018 begins in earnest during the June Bank Holiday weekend when the following list of events are planned.

Wednesday May 31st: Weekly €10 Card Drive in the Day Care Centre at 8.30pm.

Thursday June1st: Bingo in Gallahues Hall at 8pm.

Friday June 2nd: Primary School Children’s Quiz in Gallahues Hall at 7pm.

Saturday June 3rd: Cake sale in the Day Care Centre at 8.30pm followed by Irish music till late.

Sunday June 4th: Post match BBQ in Gallahues from 7pm for returning fans followed by live music.

During the June weekend also we will launch our monster raffle with some wonderful prizes. As with all fundraising efforts we are dependent on and extremely grateful to the businesses who sponsored our prizes. We would like to extend our thanks to our sponsors Gallahues Bar and Restaurant Ballylanders, Foxes Furniture Ballyorgan, Ned Burke Electrical Tipperary, O Callaghan’s Coaches, Killarney and Woodlands House Hotel, Adare. Ticket sellers will be extremely busy for the next few months with sales to be completed before the draw which will take place during the October Bank Holiday weekend. The committee are also willing to accept donations directly or online at iDonate.ie Our Lady Day Care Centre. Some of you may already have seen our wheel which we would love to see filled with all of the loose change that is lying around your homes. Every cent counts when we consider that we have a target figure of €60,000 to reach before the end of the year.

Sand Bucket Theatre:

5 day drama Summer Camp, Ballylanders GAA Hall - Monday July 3rd to Friday July 7th.

Senior Infants to 6th Class: 10am to 3pm. Cost: €55.

Pre School & Junior Infants: 10am to 1pm. Cost €40.

Fleadh Cheoil Luimnigh 2017:

The June Bank Holiday is almost here and for Kilfinane, that meansFleadh Cheoil Luimnigh 2017.A top line up of musicians are booked for FREE music seisiúns in various locations fromWednesdayMay 31st to Monday June 5th, including the wonderful Bobby Gardiner, Nell Ní Chróinín, Caoimhin & Sean O'Fearghail, Ryan O'Donnell, Ronan Ryan, Cliona Halley and many more. The Branch is hosting a FREE outdoor gig on the streeton Saturdaynight, where the renowned band, North Cregg are reforming to perform with Bernadette Nic Gabhann, a Meath fiddler who will be launching her solo fiddle cd - 'Here to Play' on the same night. Saturday

night will also have an on the street Regional Dance performance by a number of All-Ireland set dancing winners, with a Cheili Mór for our audience. Sunday will have more on street Trad entertainment and plenty of seisiúns with a collaboration from Comhaltas Branches in the evening.All throughout the weekend Ballyhoura CCE have organised activities that are aimed at families and visitors, to Kilfinane. Family Fun days, a Pop up Gaeltacht, Outdoor Markets, íoga trí nGaelige, Art Workshops, Historical and Trad Trails are all lined up for the weekend, meaning that even those who are not 'Trad' followers can come for a mighty weekend of craic!

The Glen of Aherlow Summer Festival:

1.Saturday June 3rd - Sunday June 4th. Hike and Bike around The Galtees.The Glen of Aherlow Summer Festival takes place over the first Saturday and Sunday of June. Saturday will see a variety of walks departing from the Halla an Pobail Lisvernane with registration beginning from8:30am.Sunday 4.There will be an 83Klm cycle route taking in Ballylanders, Kilfinane, Kilmallock, Bruff and ending in Lisvernane. Ballylanders Parent & Toddler:

Runs in Ballylanders Day Care Centre every Tuesday morning from 10am to 12pm. All parents, carers, grandparents, dads welcome to attend.
