Thurles Cathedral Mass:

On last Sunday November 20th a special Mass was celebrated in Thurles Cathedral to mark the close of Mercy Year. At the end of the Mass each parish received an Acorn to be planted in the parish. The following prayer came with the acorn. “In planting this acorn we pray, that the seeds of God’s mercy which lie deep within the hearts and souls of each member of our parish will continue to be nurtured, and like the acorn which over time grows to be the largest of all trees, may our parish through each individual’s act of mercy daily reflect God’s unconditional mercy for each one of us. We make our prayer through Christ our Lord Amen”.

A Service of Healing with Mass:

To be held inKilteely Parish Church Co. Limerick on Monday November28 @ 7.30pmCelebrant:-Fr. John Keane. All are welcome. Fr. Keane is a native of Youghal Co. Cork. He is a Priest in the Diocese of Cloyne. He has spent many years on loan ministering in the missions in South America and Africa. He is presently on loan to a group of both clergy and lay people who travel around Ireland giving missions and retreats in Parishes. He is gifted with a renowned Healing Ministry which many people have experienced great healing through.

Gretta Tobin (née Mullins) R.I.P:

Gretta Tobin (nee Mullins) Deerpark, Galbally, Co. Limerick and formerly of Clarinbridge, Galway. Monday November 14th , 2016. Gretta.Peacefully in the arms of her family after a short illness.Predeceased by her husband Noel, sister Thecla, son-in-law Lar. Deeply regretted by her family sons Adrian, Owen and Séamus, daughters Colette and Siobhán, grandchildren Meadhbh, Joseph, Declan, Rachel, Caitlin, Holly, Niall, Aishling, Niamh, Sam and Cian, brothers Tom and Dave, sisters Colette, Frances, Anne and Mary, son-in-law Joe, daughters-in-law Judy, Ann and Snez, brothers-in -law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Christmas Party:

In Ballylanders Day Care Centre held for regulars on Friday December 2nd, music by Gerry Moloney. Christmas party in the Firgrove on Sunday December 18th at 1pm, music by the ever popular Willie O’Mahony and Mike Hoare.

Christmas Tree Lighting:

All are welcome to the Ballylanders Annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree, in the Park on Wednesday December 7 at 7.30pm after 7pm Mass. Have your Christmas Hat and Christmas Cheer as you warm up with a Hot Chocolate and Christmas Carols while enjoying the Festive Atmosphere of the Lighting Tree and why not add a message to a loved one with the Red Ribbons available. A special Occasion for all the Family to Enjoy.

Day Care Centre:

Chiropodist: will attend the Day Care Centre on Monday 5th of December at 2.00pm.

Arts and Crafts: every Friday from 2 to 3pm at the Day Care Centre.

Set Dancing: Tuesday’s from 8.30pm – 10.30pm, new comers welcome.

Floral Demonstration:

There will be a floral demonstration in Our Ladies Day Care Centre on Friday 25th November from 1.30pm to 3.00pm. All are welcome.

Sewing and Alterations:

Available every Thursday from 4-5pm in the Day Care Centre. Items will be ready for collection the following Thursday or call 087 4032524.

Glenacurrane Rovers 25 years Reunion:

Saturday 26th November in An Poc Fada, Ballylanders form 9.30pm,25 years on, we are delighted to be able to invite all the people involved in this exceptional team that won the County Final, to a night of fun, craic and ceol. Players were brought together from Ballylanders, Knocklong and Galtee Gales to gain this success. Enjoy live music and finger food on the night. All interested parties are welcome to join us on the night to add to the banter of the journey to the final.

Ballylanders AFC:

U8s training is every Saturday at 11.00am. Please bring boots, shin guards, light jacket and a bottle of water to drink.We can be contacted on Ballylanders AFC page on Facebook.

Ballylanders Parent & Toddler: runs in Ballylanders Day Care Centre every Tuesday morning from 10am to 12pm. All parents, carers, grandparents, dads welcome to attend. Paistí Na Nollaig:

Paistí Na Nollaig is the name of our mini company put together by four TY students of Scoil Pol, Kilfinane. Our slogan PFFC is Paying forward for Christmas. Our plan is to sell Children’s Christmas Eve boxes €25 each to local consumers and for every box we sell we will donate a Christmas box to a child in need. “Our way of paying it forward” We have contacted a local charity “Suimhneas –Respond” in Limerick who are delighted to do all they can with distributing our donated boxes. We are also doing Personalised Mugs €10 each that are filled with treats the money made on these will also go to fill the Christmas Boxes for Children in Need.
