BAEYC Annual Building an Inclusive Community Conference

October 8, 2016

The planning for the Annual Building an Inclusive Community Conference sponsored by BAEYC is underway. This one day conference will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at BC High School. The conference will feature a wide variety of workshops, and a commercial and non-profit exhibit area.

All workshops must fall under one of the 8 Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care Core Competencies for Early Education and Care and Out of School Time Educators: Please check ONE core competency your workshop will focus on.

Area1: Understanding the Growth and Development of Children and Youth

Area 2: Guiding and Interacting with Children and Youth

Area 3: Partnering with Families and Communities

Area 4: Health, Safety, and Nutrition

Area 5: Learning Environments and Implementing Curriculum

Area 6: Observation, Assessment, and Documentation

Area 7: Program Planning and Development

Area 8: Professionalism and Leadership

PROCEDURES FOR SUBMITTING A PROPOSAL FOR WORKSHOP

Workshop sessions are two hours long. We would be happy to review a 2 part workshop (2 hours in the AM and 2 hours in the PM). Please include the following information.

7.A ONE to TWO SENTENCE SUMMARY OF THE WORKSHOP FOR THE BROCHURE

8.A brief outline of workshop content for committee review.

9.Please list 2 to 3 outcomes from you workshop.

10.Have you presented this workshop before? When and Where?

11.Please provide a reference who can speak to your presentation skills. Name and phone number or email address.

12.Are you willing to repeat your workshop in a second session?
