BackcourtClub Meeting Notes – December 2, 2012

Tanya and Lori did a great job on the coffee fundraiser
Received 150 letters for the free throw-a-thon and community service
Treasurers Update
-Current balance is $16,180
- Recent deposit of $9,895
-Outstanding expenses for replacement uniforms $650 andbasketballs
-Need form to authorize Johnny as a signer on the account

-Contacted travelling and inhouse program to tell them about the Red Wing game

-317 items sold
-$1,780 profit

- 10th grade 8 of 10 players participated $406

-Top sellers – Coach will decide how gift cards will be distributed

Armful of Love
-19 girls participated- all JV/Varsity participated and 2 9th graders
-Tanya will deliver blankets on Monday, Dec 3rd
-Send pictures to Lisa to put on the web site
Feed My Starving Children-January 25th from 9:30 – 11:30
Greenleaf – February
BWs – receive 10% back –Need to bring flyer
-Pass out flyers at school, set out at games and put in announcements

Process Documentation
-Folder for each committee
-List steps involved
-Folder turned in to the president or vice president at the end of the season
-Folder handed out at the beginning of each season
MYAS Super Saver Tournament – December 15th
Senior players and parents will volunteer
-JV/Var has practice in the morning
-May need 10th grade girls to help out during the day
Concessions
-Have bagels, muffins, fruit and coffee in the morning
-Subs
-Check with Deb about coffee pot
Need portable scoreboard
Coach Guebert
-Mentioned moving one of the fundraisers to January instead of having two in December
-Craig will print thank you notes for the girls to send out
- Should be around December 14th
- Girls will receive list of people who contributed
Pictures
-Phil will come in on Wednesday and take individual and team pictures of JV/Varsity team
9th grade team
-Limited number of schools who have B teams
-Looking at other schools who have a B team
- Coach will look at Moundsview
-9B coach is K Green
Teams have all started the season strong

-Looking for a way to put fans in the stands
- Pep band will perform at 2 games
- Dance Line
- Step Club
- Travelling players (no charge for players)
- Welcome the teams by putting their name on the ticker
-Johnny will look into providing game schedules at games
Apple Valley game
-Still looking at how to split concessions
- Jay proposed 70/30 split
-Option would be to cut off concessions for girls at a specified time
Concessions Schedules
-Rachelle Gill and Mollie Trusty completing the schedule with players from the 9th and 10th grade teams.
EVAA night
-EVAA has provided pizza and water
- Johnny will follow up with EVAA regarding the food
- This year we will provide the drinks
-Craig will do the flyer
Run with the Lightning
-Target K-5th grade
-Look at handing out cards (similar to baseball cards)
Varsity Tournament (next year) Proposed
-Time frame December 26th – 28th
-Phil would find teams
-Tournament or Jamboree
-2 or 3 days

Help Needed
Looking for an adult to work until Spring Break from 3:00 – 5:00 at the school
Responsibilities include monitoring athletes who would like to get some homework done before games or practices. If interested, contact Matt Percival
