Dear Butte Central Catholic High Parents and Students:
We hope yoursummer break has been mentally, physically, and spiritually fulfilling.Over the summer Mr. Jim Seaver and Mr. Tom Foley have diligently worked to prepare our facilities for the 17-18 school year.We owe another huge thank you and acknowledgment to BCCHS alumni Mr. Roy F. Simpermanwho humbly and graciously provided us with another generous donation towards technology enhancement for all BCCS students. We are excited to implement the newly developed Bishop Thomas Scholars & Resource Programs and look forward to helping students meet their academic goals.
Blessed are those who teach! We embrace and welcome the following new additions to our outstanding BCCHS staff:
Theology: Mr. Dave Curry has held various leadership positions within the Catholic Church, including the Cursillo and Charismatic Prayer Groups, and he currentlyis the Butte Deanery representative on the Diocesan Pastoral Council. He participated in a non-denominational bible study for 23 years and authored a book entitled The Belief Particle. Dave was President of Kiwanis Int. in 07-08 and served as Vice-Chairman for north and south America, on their effort to “Eliminate Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus”. He graduated with a Social Sciences degree from Carroll College and has a Master’s Degree in Philanthropy and Development from St. Mary’s University in Winona, MN. Page studied Spanish & education at MSU-Bozeman obtaining her B.A. in Modern Languages-Spanish and Master’s of Education. Her life adventures and education bring an array of cultural and educational experiences to BCCHS. Living and studying abroad in Salamanca, Spain for a year along with multiple trips to Mexico, Europe and Asia have given her a unique perspective on world cultures. Her grasp of the Spanish language and the unique cultures surrounding it is why she has chosen to teach Spanish. In her free time, Page loves to mountain bike, paddle boarding, and camping with her family.
Library: Mrs. KristelKoukoua was born and raised on a ranch in Divide, and following high school in Butte, went on to get her B.A. in English & Spanish from MSU-Bozeman. She has traveled to 12 countries outside the U.S., lived in Spain for a study abroad, and taught at a bilingual school in Honduras her first year of teaching. Since then she taught in Richey for a year, followed by 4 years at Valley Christian in Missoula. As a Christian she enjoys the freedom to integrate Jesus in the classroom as she works with students on their writing, research, and overall communications skills. She and her husband enjoy dancing, exploring, and spending time as a family with their son Jireh.
Science: Mr. Zachary Kozicky earned his Masters & B.S. Wildlife Biology degrees from the Univ. of MT and has experience as a clinical laboratory technician with the US Army. He and his wife Kayla enjoy taking their son, Samson, hiking, rock climbing and fishing. They have a passion for the outdoors and their Christian faith and they are excited to be a part of the Butte Central family.
