Birth Announcement

Connor Joe Wiik was born on February 4, 2006 to John and Chelsey Wiik of Watertown. Connor weighed 4 lbs. 4 oz. and was 18 inches long. His grandparents are Tom and Myrna Brenden of Henry and Bill and Deb Wiik of Big Stone. Great-grandparents are Raymond Biberdorf of Henry and Mavis Brenden of Watertown.

John Boehnke is spending his Spring Break from SDSU at the home of his parents, Arlen and Joan Boehnke.

Danny and Bonita Sharp were Friday evening supper guests at the Troy and Nicky Watson home.

Roxanne Geiger visited Sally Luvaas on Tuesday afternoon.

Lois Schoepp visited Lola Alexander at Wookey’s Assistant Living in Clark on Saturday.

Raymond Biberdorf was a Sunday dinner guest at the Tom and Myrna Brenden home.

Tom and Trudy Mitchell of Roseville, IL arrived on Wednesday to help Alice Bruns prepare for the 80th birthday celebration of their mother, Vera Annabelle Johnson, which was held on Saturday at the First Methodist Church in Watertown. Also attending from out of town was a sister, Ora Kent and her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Amy Kittleson and Karmri from Murdo, SD, a brother, Bill and wife, Freda and son, Jason from Auburn, WA, another brother, Dave Johnson and wife, Linda of New London, IA. Cousins, Bruce and Avis Davison and their daughter, Margie Kelly from Clear Lake, SD were in attendance along with friends, Virgil and Marie Hamann of Clark. The Bruns’ granddaughters, Erin Bruns of Lake Preston and Amber Bruns of Sturgis spent the weekend with their father, Ashley Bruns at Willow Lake and also attended the festivities. Erin spent Saturday night with her grandparents. Wendell and Alice Bruns hosted Sunday morning brunch for Alice’s brothers and sisters.

Terry and Judy Kos attended the district South Dakota AAU wrestling meet in Webster on Saturday and enjoyed watching their grandson, Connor DeJong qualify for the regional meet to be held in Aberdeen.

Danny and Bonita Sharp were Saturday morning coffee guests at the Betty Keyes home in Clark.

Marcia, Sarah and Andrew Montgomery joined Helen Van Sickle, Linda Page and Sena Seifel all of Watertown for dinner out on Sunday. The families celebrated Sena’s 18th birthday. Later they all visited at the Helen Van Sickle home.

Tim and Lori Page visited with Adam Page in Brookings prior to his leaving for a week of work in Fort Worth, TX for Daktronics. In the evening they were supper guests at the Brett and April Flemming home in Aurora.

Arlen, Joan and John Boehnke treated Stephanie Boehnke to dinner out on Sunday for an early birthday celebration.

Joe, Nicole and Karli Sharp were Saturday evening visitors at the Danny Sharp home.

Doris Coyle watched her grandson, Jackson Hoftiezer participate in the Boys and Girls Club tournament in Watertown on Saturday.

Morris and Eleanor Van Sickle of Watertown, Doris Coyle and Calvin and Lois Schoepp attended the Soup Dinner on Sunday at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Florence. Later they all returned to the Schoepp home for supper.

Rod, Cherie and Taylor Jans were Sunday evening supper guests at the rural Clark home of Aaron and Connie Hemmingson. The families celebrated Krysta Hemmingson’s birthday.

Floyd and Donna Kittelson attended the Watertown Boys and Girls Club Interstate Basketball Tournament on Friday. Later Floyd went to the Clark/Deubrook basketball game in Brookings.

Fain and Roxanne Geiger were Thursday evening supper guests at the home of Kelby and Toni Goodall.

Floyd and Donna Kittelson attended the Saturday session of the Boys and Girls Club Basketball tournament and watched the eighth grade team from Clark play to a first place finish. In the evening Floyd and Donna enjoyed the Sweetheart Dinner Concert in Clark sponsored the Clark Senior High Choir and Band.

Fain and Roxanne Geiger, Kelby, Toni and Hayley met Earl, Alyssa and Tierra Rhody of Clear Lake in Watertown for dinner on Saturday. Tierra returned home with the Geigers and spent the night.
