Duties and Responsibilities

  • Independently handling technical Proposals and Estimations.
  • Preparing Accurate Estimates using - Deterministic method (Class I & Class II) (calculating Material cost, Labor Cost, Conversion cost and Overhead & profit accurately).
  • Provide material take-off and estimates for mechanical, process and utility piping
  • In house cost calculation and floating of enquiries globally for quotes on mechanical equipments, package systems, instruments and piping material as per agreed Vendor List.
  • Collecting historic design and costing data and analysis based on current market scenario, improvising if required.
  • Estimationof Man-hours from Procurement to Delivery or Commissioning activities.
  • Project Controls for all project phases and reporting to Project Manager about deviations noted.
  • Issue of Job Card, prepare requisitions, purchase orders to selected vendors and provided material control functions
  • Distribution of technical offers to the engineering discipline concerned or originator of enquiry technical specifications.
  • Organizing meetings for technical discussions / clarifications and follow-up for receipt of answers to queries.
  • Preparing of revised priced offers if warranted or arising out of technical discussions and / or changes in technical specifications.
  • Maintaining the current and previous estimation records, and referring to it occasionally for ensuring the range of accuracy, compliance, and completeness in the evaluated results.
  • Preparation of weekly Enquiry and Submittal reports.
