AzNA Chapter 30 Meeting Minutes

February 29, 2012 at 700pm

Location: The Landmark 809 W Main St, Mesa AZ

Members present: Lynn Untermeyer, Paula Munch, Jaime Bentley, Crystal Jenkins, Robin Schaeffer, Beth Rose, Cecilia Fleming, Kathy Wruk, Eva Woodburn & Guest Bentley – Firefighter.

Introductions and Presentation of awards:

After Roundtable of introductions President, Lynn Untermeyer presented awards to outgoing Chapter 30 Board members – Cecilia Fleming, Eva Woodburn, Beth Rose, and Crystal Jenkins.

Old Business:

  • Cecilia made opening comments.
  • Judy – secretary unable to attend
  • Maria (treasurer) unable to attend
  • Chapter 30 funds the AZNA Foundation in Spring and Fall. Gives back to the state.
  • Partnerships – Global Caring Nursing Foundation, Inc and Asian Pacific Community in Action

New Business:

  • Role of Treasurer: Kathy Wruk and Jaime Bentley were up for election into position. Kathy Wruk voluntarily stepped down from election. Jaime stated intent to take the position and qualifications for it. President, Lynn Untermeyer made motion to elect Jaime Bentley to role of Treasurer. The motion was seconded by Cecilia Fleming and Beth Rose. Lynn Untermeyer made motion for all in favor say Aye. All members present in favor. No opposition made and motion passed.
  • The new Chapter 30 officers are the following:
  • President, Lynn Untermeyer;
  • Vice president, Crystal Jenkins;
  • Secretary, Paula Munch;
  • Treasurer, Jaime Bentley;
  • Director,Board member at Large- Education, Laurel Molloy;-absent at installation
  • Director, Board member at Large, Lisa Bruni- absent at installation.
  • Transition of Treasurer: Outgoing officers of AzNA Chapter 30 Maria Lyndstrom and Johnathan Cox to transfer AzNA Chapter 30 account to Jaime Bentley and Lynn Untermeyer and signed off by Paula Munch, Secretary
  • New Partnerships

Discussed partnering and/or getting a group to volunteer to help Tempe based non-for profit companyProject C.U.R.E., (operations Director Derek Filley,web site: in sorting medical supplies that can go to those in need. More to follow – Kathy Wruk
