  • BOK First aid course on Oct 9th – still places available. Contact Katy Dyer (BOK) for information
  • Details of national competitions distributed
  • Information from CW re a low-key competition with schools around Coombe Dingle. CW to speak on this.

CW – on back of work with RMS, Elmlea and GROW project some teachers wanted more inter-schools’ competitions. But there are changes being made at BOF and until these are finalised CW is not in a position to suggest how she could get involved with this. More discussion at the next meeting?
5 / Treasurer’s report –
  • Subscription reminders sent out. CHOC, RMS, BACK, QEH won’t be re-joining ASO this year.
  • 2009-2010 £30 in credit over the year

6 / Recent Events
May 23rd – NGOC League 8. Very hot! Last League event and turnout was very strong as the
July 4th – Relays. Should team be disqualified if a one mis-punches or have a time penalty. To discuss at a later meeting. Ideas welcomed to resolve this.
Sept 12th - CAT1: Bradley Stoke - successful.
Future Events
  • League 1 -Oct 3 Leigh Woods.SWJS are doing some training after the event.
  • League 2- Oct 10 Forest of Dean NGOC. Pre-entry via Fabian4. Closing date is 3/10/10. EOD for other classes, but Jo Foster needs to advise NGOC on numbers by 6/10/10
  • Oct 9 BSSC
  • Nov 21 BSOC - is there any demand for a bus
  • League 3 – Dec 12 Forest of Dean (BOK)
  • League 4 – Jan 23 Tyntesfield

JLF to ask JL
AOB / PM – If an ASO runner plans an event how does this work with the points? 100 points to the planner on one occasion in the season. To be voted on the AGM. But all present were in agreement.
JLF – Feels that the ASO website needs to beupdated. PM to talk to Piers about Ben / Pete Maliphant looking at doing this.
CW – WESPORT has links with UWE students who do a volunteer work – could be tapped to do a website
CW – ASO SI kit will still be the custodian.
PM – active members at school at Gordano encouraged to join BOK at preferably BOF.
CW – could primary schools use the Wed informal events to set up a small competition. / PM
