Veterans’ Day Assembly
AMS will be holding a Veterans’ Day Assembly TODAY, November 11 in honor of our Veterans.
The assembly will be held from 7:45 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. in the gym. The Student Council will be hosting a breakfast for the Veterans prior to the assembly.
Media Center - Book Talk Event
We will be holding our next “Book Talk” event with Avon Public Library onThursday, November 12th! All students are invited to come to the Media Center during flex to hear about some great new books and participate in fun trivia contests! Everyone who attends will be entered in a raffle for a special prize. To participate, get a pass from your Language Arts teacher or stop by the media center. All students are welcome!
Student Council Food Drive
The AMS Student Council Food Drive begins November 13 and runs through November 21.
Please bring your food each morning to the front lobby.
Friday, Nov. 13:Canned Vegetable Day
Double points for canned corn; triple points for cornbread stuffing mix.
Monday, Nov. 16:Breakfast Day
Double points for oatmeal.
Tuesday, Nov. 17:Condiment Day
Mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup. Double points for mayonnaise. Triple points for olive
oil in plastic containers.
Wed., Nov. 18:Grain Day
Pasta, rice, brown rice (full packages, not individual servings of Ramen Noodles count as one point). Double points for brown rice. Triple points for pasta sauce in plastic jars.
Thursday, Nov. 19:Dessert Day
Canned fruit, cake mixes, puddings. Double points for cake mixes.
Friday, Nov. 21:Toilet Paper/Tissue Day - Double points for recycled toilet paper.
