Autumn/Winter 2017-2018

Botto Giuseppe is a mill with two hearts: the heart of a woman, in beautiful high-fashion fabrics, and that of a man with more advanced, technical ones.

In the women’s collection, the intent is to create a collection that can be appreciated both for its elegance and beauty, and for its simplicity.

The collection ranges from dense, compact fabrics, given extra performance by stretch, to structures with flat surfaces from twills to satins and refined ottomans woven from the finest wools.

One of the cornerstones of the collection is the openable double-face line, which includes compact fabrics with crepe and matt surfaces alongside pure cashmere stretch double-face, the iconic fabric for the luxury of tomorrow.

On the other hand, for the men’s collection, the collection responds to the need to create classic garments with a more modern look: a fundamental requirement for today’s young executives.
Standing out amongst the new proposals, a one-way stretch foulard, perfect for both jacketing and suiting, for elegant, crease-proof garments.
Stretch fabrics, habitually the prerogative of women’s collections, now takes a leading role in menswear as well.

The newest entry this season is the range of fabrics that we’ve called NATURALIS FIBRA, created from a collection of yarns totally sustainable ethical and strictly natural that the mill has developed especially for its 140th anniversary.

All of the wool used for this special collection comes from sheep not subjected to mulesing from the Australian company CONGI, which produces exclusively select superfine wool, and with which Botto Giuseppe has signed an exclusive contract precisely for the fact the two companies share the same philosophy in defence of both product and environment.

One family, one history

Botto Giuseppe has been producing precious yarns and fabrics since 1876. Over the decades the mill’s production expanded to include jersey and knitwear yarns as well, up to achieving the vertical structure this biellese company has today, capable of producing everything from the yarn to the finished product in its two establishments in Valle Mosso and Tarcento (yarns), powered by the hydroelectric energy generated by the Tarcento Dam and vast arrays of photovoltaic panels.

Today, after 140 years dedicated to yarns and fabrics, Botto Giuseppe has become a truly international reality, exporting 60% of its turnover (close to 60 million Euro in 2015) to foreign markets like the United States, Germany, China, Japan, France and Korea.

The mill is present at all the most important sector trade fairs, like Pitti Filati, Milano Unica, IntertextileShanghaiandSpinexpo.
