Some resources on EPOCH have mobile versions which are developed for use on iPhones, iPads, Android smartphones and other mobile devices.

Instructions on how to register for the following mobile applications can be found on the DHHS & THS intranet. Go to the Library Services intranet page (www.dhhs.tas.gov.au/intranet/bss/library_services) and click on the Mobile Resources link listed under Library Quick Links.

Authenticating a mobile resource requires you to be at a DHHS/THS desktop computer.

BrowZine

The BrowZine app is available for Apple and Android devices.

Browse, read and stay current with the journals that DHHS & THS subscribe to and are important to you. Build your own library of favourite journals and be alerted when new issues of titles become available.

ClinicalKey

The CK app is available for Apple and Android devices.

ClinicalKey is a powerful search and point-of-care tool that is used to access thelibraryof medical literature published by Elsevier. The library contains 1000+ ebooks, 500+ ejournals and 9000+ medical and procedural videos. ClinicalKey also searches MEDLINE.

Use your mobile device to read textbooks like Nelson's Textbook of Pediatrics, Critical Care Secrets, Kumar & Clark's Clinical Medicine, Davidson's Principles & Practice of Medicine and journals like Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, The Lancet, Annals of Emergency Medicine, and European Journal of Internal Medicine

DynaMed Plus

The DynaMed Plus app is available for Apple and Android devices.

DynaMed Plus provides clinicians quick and easy access to evidence-based information at the point-of-care. Editors monitor the content of over 500 medical journals. Each article is evaluated for clinical relevance and scientific validity. The app is designed for quick reference at the point-of-care and lists over 3 400 topics in an easy to read format.

MIMS

The MIMS app or MIMS Mobile (which is a website for clients without smartphones) are available for Apple and Android devices.

These MIMS products contain a comprehensive list of Australian approved medicines and incorporate features such as drug interactions and pill identifier.

If you have signed up for MIMS Mobile, go to the website mimsmobile.com.au and login with your username and password sent to you by email.

mobileMicromedex

Micromedex® Drug Reference and Micromedex® Drug Interactions are available for Apple and Android devices.

Micromedex® Drug Reference app contains concise information on 4,500+ search terms, covering generic names, common trade names, dosages, indications, contraindications, adverse effects, and more.

The Micromedex® Drug Interactions app provides information about why the drugs in question interact, how the results of those interactions will present in the patient and recommendations for monitoring patient outcomes.

Ovid Today

Browse, read, save the full-text of articles from Ovid journals the organisation subscribes to on your Apple or Android mobile device. Journals include Circulation, Current Opinion in Critical Care and Critical Care Medicine.

UpToDate Anywhere

Available for Apple and Android devices.

UpToDate Anywhere is an evidence-based, physician-authored clinical decision support tool at point-of-care.
