ATLANTA,May 4, 2010–Au Pied de Cochonannounces its “Passport to France,” a culinary tour of four regions ofFrance. Starting May 17 and for one week on the third Monday of each month for the remainder of 2010, the restaurant, located at the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta on Peachtree Road, will offer a unique dinner menu that highlights the cuisine and wine of a specific region in France. Guests participating in the “tour” will have the chance to win a trip for two to France while embarking on a mouth-watering journey that will excite the palate and invigorate the senses with both new and traditional French fare.

The May culinary tour, an exploration into the cuisine of the Southwest region including Toulouse and Bordeaux, begins Monday, May 17and concludes Sunday, May 23. June’s event will take place from June 21 through June 27 and will feature different offerings from Southwest France.

Guests dining at the restaurant during the monthly promotion will receive their own “passport.” Those guests who dine and get their“passports” stamped by partaking in each of the four regional promotionswill have a chance to win a trip for two to France.

“Au Pied de Cochon’s ‘Passport to France’ will offer Atlantans a chance to experience the fine wines and cuisine specific to world-renowned regions of France,” said Executive Chef Didier Lailheugue, a native of France himself. “Each region we are showcasing has such exceptional culture and flavor that we are dedicating an entire menu to celebrating each of them.”

Each month’s menu will feature a different experience of the current region’s cuisine and unique wine selections:

  • Au Pied de Cochon will explore the tastes of the Southeast region during July 19-25 and August 16-22, including cuisine from Provence and the French Riviera.
  • The restaurant will showcase the rich flavors of Brittany, Normandy and other cities in the Northwest region during September 20-26 and October 18-24.
  • The culinary essence of destinations such as Alsace and Champagne in the Northeast region will close the “tour” during November 15-21 and December 20-26.
