Fund raiser orders were due on Tuesday------but if you still have orders and money that you have not turned in to your flex teacher, you must do so by tomorrow—Friday, August 28.
The 7th grade girls volleyball team not only defeated the Plainfield Quakers volleyball team but DOMINATED their cheer block too!!! The ladies played well with Audrey Lenz doing a super job setting and Jessie Gearries playing big in the middle and slamming down great hits. Ashley Horne and Brooklyn McCord also played tough at the net. Kyla Barker was ON FIRE with good back row passing and 15 service points- six of which were aces!!
Following the 7th grade game, the girls took to the stands and shamed the cheer block from Plainfield with their power and spirit. Please notice the ladies from both teams are wearing black today. If you would like to experience this amazing spirit help us BLACK OUT the gym tonight as the ladies take on the evil Danville Warriors. Wear your black t shirt and come ready to fill the gym with that Oriole Beat as you cheer on your 7th and 8th grade lady orioles to a victory!! Game starts at 5:00.
Last night your 8th grade lady orioles fought a tough Plainfield Quaker team and took them to 3 game, but ultimately couldn’t quite take the W for us. Coach Koontz really can’t explain the fire and the heart that this team plays with. These girls are so talented and last night they did such a great job of playing together. We had a rough night on Tuesday, but these ladies came back with a good attitude and fought hard all night last night. Hadley Horne, Hannah Hoskins, and Maggie Stall had some huge blocks and hits on the net. Zoe Frossard was a beast in the back row and really was our defensive VIP from last night. Coach Koontz doesn’t care what our record is, if you see any of these ladies today make sure to tell them they did a great job last night! Also, the 8th grade team wants to thank our 7th grade sisters for their incredible support last night. They would not have played as well without you! Both teams definitely need a cheer block tonight so make sure to come out and support your talented lady orioles!
The Pickleball and Badminton Club is today after school. Both games are a lot of fun and easy to learn. We will meet in the big gym. The club will last until 3:30pm. Must have a permission form to stay after school. See Miss Stafford with any questions.
